About the event
You’re invited to take part in a free community singing event in celebration of the 60th anniversary of The Sound of Music.
The Sound of Music soundtrack album was produced and distributed by Decca Records in New Malden in 1965. It topped the UK album charts for 70 weeks in total between 1965 and 1968!
To celebrate the legacy of this amazing music heritage, New Malden Residents' Association, The Community Brain and The Community Train are holding a singing event and singalong film screening of the original film.
Come together and sing 4 songs from the original soundtrack:- Sound of Music- Do Re Mi- My Favourite Things- Climb Every Mountain
Dress as a nun for the performances and lets see if we can create the largest gathering of nuns celebrating The Sound of Music
